Workforce solutions that make a difference
In addition to candidates for part-time and full-time employment, JobWave has participants interested in the following alternative employment options (all at no cost to you):

Job shadowing
Job shadowing is a great way for participants to learn about a job by watching an employee perform his/her daily tasks. It increases participants’ awareness about job requirements and workplace expectations and gives them a sense of the steps required to achieve their career goals. Duration: 3 hours to 2 days.

Volunteer work
Volunteer work exposes participants to the workplace and provides them with the opportunity to build confidence and develop employability skills. Though volunteer work is unpaid, it can be a stepping stone to employment. Duration: varies according the needs of the employer and volunteer (minimum 3 hours per week for 2 weeks).

Work experience
The purpose of a work experience is for the participant to try out the fit of a particular job or industry. One of the goals of the work experience is for participants to be able to receive immediate and direct feedback about their workplace behaviour and employability skills. Duration: two weeks maximum.
